The rude comment

I had a RUDE comment the other day on Instagram:

“Why are you doing food content? You’re not a chef, you’re a coach.”

Now, I get it. My food doesn’t look chef quality, and it doesn’t taste as good either.

BUT THAT’S THE POINT.

All of my content (including these emails) is made for people living a life similar to me:

People with a young family, who are busy, have a social life, and struggle to lose fat and build muscle because of the juggle.

So I make content to help.

Food is a massive part of this.

So all my food content is about being quick, easy and normally in a one pot dish so there is less washing up 🤣

You might live a similar life to me too.

You struggle to eat nutritious food that’s high in protein and within a calorie target.

You might be confused or even bored by it.

So I make meals that help.

My whole coaching experience is about looking at your life from a bird’s eye view...

Food, lifestyle, and work and spotting the weak points to improve.

As we improve, your triangle gets bigger and in turn, so does your quality of life.

And as much as you’ll lose weight, build muscle, and feel great, it’s not just about that.

It’s about having a life you love.

Showing up for your kids in a way you never had.

And feeling like you’re in control of the outcomes in your life.

Anyway, if it sounds like you’re living a life similar to mine…

I’ve built the programme to help.

I’m here, ready when you are ready to take action
Just reply to this and I'll be in touch to plan things out together.

I did a 25km trail race in the Lakes a couple of weeks ago. Rated 5 out of 5 for difficulty. I'd only run about 60km the entire year before it. I sounds nuts but I did it for two reasons. The first is I want my kids to grow up thinking this stuff is normal. Training, pushing yourself, eating well, not drinking every weekend. Most people weren't brought up that way and for a lot of people exercise is just weird. I don't want that for my kids. I want them to see their dad doing hard things and...

Laura (my girlfriend) went vegan for a whole year once. She didn't watch a documentary or have some big moment about animals. (although she loves them) She just spent loads of time around one of my best mates who is vegan and it slowly rubbed off on her. She's not vegan anymore by the way. But it shows how much the people around you shape what you do without you noticing. If you're around caring people you end up more caring, and if you're around fit people you suddenly want to have a go...

I've not sent an email for a few weeks and I've done a 'classic'.. The longer I left it the more I got in my own head. I kept thinking 'what do I even send for the first one back', then 'it's been too long', then 'the first one back had to be a really good one'. The more I thought about it the less I did. It's not that I didn't want to send them. I love writing these. I just overthought it, got distracted and spent the time on something else instead. And it's exactly what most people do with...
