I don’t know about you, but I’m constantly blown away by how fast time goes. Like, how quick does it feel from Monday to Monday? It’s mad. But here’s the thing… that speed can either work for you or work against you. When you’re in a good routine, training consistently, eating decent food, getting to bed at a decent time Life clicks. You get to Sunday and think: “That flew by… and I actually ticked off the things I said I would.” You feel in control. You feel lighter. You feel proud. But the same speed can hit differently when things are off. You blink, and it’s Monday again… And you didn’t train. Didn’t prep. Grabbed crap on the go. Slept terribly. And you’re feeling worse than last week. And the cycle repeats. The truth is: people massively underestimate how easy results can feel when you get into a rhythm… But they also underestimate how much damage can be done when you drift for weeks on end. Time isn’t slowing down. But your results can speed up if you take control of the time you’ve already got. If you’re ready to get back on track with a simple plan that fits into your life… not one that takes over it. Lets book your free Roadmap call to map out how we can make your routine work for you. I did a 25km trail race in the Lakes a couple of weeks ago. Rated 5 out of 5 for difficulty. I'd only run about 60km the entire year before it. I sounds nuts but I did it for two reasons. The first is I want my kids to grow up thinking this stuff is normal. Training, pushing yourself, eating well, not drinking every weekend. Most people weren't brought up that way and for a lot of people exercise is just weird. I don't want that for my kids. I want them to see their dad doing hard things and...
Laura (my girlfriend) went vegan for a whole year once. She didn't watch a documentary or have some big moment about animals. (although she loves them) She just spent loads of time around one of my best mates who is vegan and it slowly rubbed off on her. She's not vegan anymore by the way. But it shows how much the people around you shape what you do without you noticing. If you're around caring people you end up more caring, and if you're around fit people you suddenly want to have a go...
I've not sent an email for a few weeks and I've done a 'classic'.. The longer I left it the more I got in my own head. I kept thinking 'what do I even send for the first one back', then 'it's been too long', then 'the first one back had to be a really good one'. The more I thought about it the less I did. It's not that I didn't want to send them. I love writing these. I just overthought it, got distracted and spent the time on something else instead. And it's exactly what most people do with...
